The Dow closed lower Tuesday as President Donald Trump's threat to shutdown the government if Congress doesn’t fund his proposed border wall offset optimism on trade.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 53. The S&P 500 fell 0.9 while the Nasdaq Composite rose 11 points.

U.S. stock futures marched higher ahead of the open of regular markets on Tuesday, hinting that Wall Street may be ready to build on gains seen at the start of the week, on reports that the U.S. and China have resumed trade talks.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMZ8 shot up 239 points to 24,731, while S&P 500 futures ESZ8 gained 24 points to 2,667. Nasdaq-100 NQZ8 jumped 78 points, to 6,776.

Investors readied to attempt a bounce back from the previous week’s steep losses, ahead of another heavy week of earnings data.

U.S. future were poised to come under pressure on Friday, give back all of the previous session’s gain.

We did try a few time to bottom fish call but fail and able to quickly got out. Some put early were winner. Not a good day, but either lose big time like someone. Mistake were make, we should stay put all day long.

U.S. stock-index futures rose Monday as global equities took a cue from a continued rebound by China’s markets.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMZ8, +0.39% rose103 points to 25,531, while S&P 500 futures ESZ8, were add 11.25 at 2,778.75. Nasdaq-100 futures NQZ8, were up 56 at 7,156.75.

U.S. stocks early Wednesday looked poised to pull back from an upsurge in the previous session.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMZ8 are down 94 points at 25,688, those for the S&P 500 index ESZ8 were trading 10.55 points lower at 2,808.75, while Nasdaq-100 futures slipped 27 points, at 7,36.
Today focus:

What are major benchmarks doing?Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMZ8, -1.01% were off lows but remained down 219 points, at 25,300 points, while S&P 500 futures ESZ8 dropped 21 to 2,760, and Nasdaq-100 futures NQZ8 lost 50 to 6,982.
The Dow DJIA plunged 831.83 points on Wednesday.

U.S. stock-index futures were slightly lower on Monday in Wall Street Journal report from Saturday that the Trump administration plans to announce new tariffs on $200 billion worth of imports from China. That was followed by another report that China would decline to participate in trade talks if such tariffs were implemented.

U.S. stock-index futures were lower on Thursday Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMU8, -0.24% fell 59 points, or 0.2%, to 25,102, while those for the S&P 500 index ESU8 dropped 8 points, to 2,807.75. Futures for the Nasdaq-100 index NQU8 gave up 26 points to 7,378.50.
Weekly jobless claims are due at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with 224,000 Americans forecast to have filed for unemployment claims last week.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMU8 were up 1 points at 25,022, while those for the S&P 500 index ESU8 slipped 2.75 point to 2,793.75. Futures for the Nasdaq-100 index NQU8dropped11 points to 7,314, SPY down to 278.70.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped 204 points, to 24,714, while those for the S&P 500 index ESU8 dropped 21 points, or to 2,775.50. Futures for the Nasdaq-100 indexNQU8 fell 55.50 points to 7,245.75.
China says will hit back after U.S. proposes fresh tariffs: China accused the United States of bullying and warned it would hit back after the Trump administration raised the stakes in their trade dispute, threatening 10% tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods. China’s commerce ministry said on Wednesday it was “shocked” and would complain to the World Trade Organization, but did not immediately say how it would retaliate. [Reuters]

U.S. stock futures pointed to a gain at the open, as global equity markets recover from their selloff earlier this month.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMH8, +0.50% rose by 117 points, or 0.5%, to 24,743, while S&P 500 futures ESH8, +0.40% added 9.80 points, or 0.4%, to 2,671.50. Nasdaq-100 futures NQH8, +0.45% tacked on 30.50 points, or 0.5%, to 6,591.
Before the open, a reading on inflation will be release.
